Podcast jp morgan chase bank n a member fdic copyright 2026 jp morgan chase co. Midterm 2026 we're calling it the Blue Tsunami. We're calling it the Black Tsunami. Some are calling it the Red Wedding. All I know is that the Democrats are in control. We have a huge majority in the Senate and in the House. The biggest surprises have been Texas, Kansas and South Carolina, which have all flipped blue. Some races still remain unresolved, like Mississippi and Alaska. But the verdict is in. This is a complete rejection of the MAGA movement, Trump and all his cronies. Finally. I don't know what took us so damn long, but finally we have a clear message that we are done with this regime. Okay, we've talked about the results. Let's talk about what actually happens next. One of these folks taking office. The new terms for House members and senators elected to full terms. They've begin at noon on January 3, 2027, and watch us have a peaceful transition of power. I know a lot of people are expecting Democrats to get into office and to be out for blood, to be out for revenge. And if the investigations start, and you know the way they'll do that is by investigating and subpoena, subpoenaing Trump and all of his associates. You know, I'm sure they're going to be getting into the Epstein files of it all. I hope that they have a plan. I'm not talking about, like, of course, at the state level, I think there's so much to be done in terms of giving access to reproductive rights. We know what the overturning of Roe v. Wade, that was the Supreme Court saying, we want to leave it up to the states to determine what access women have to this reproductive care. So I hope that we see reproductive access expanded. There's lots of jokes online about how, oh, we're going to, like, introduce so many new genders. You're not going to know what hit you. I hope that the kind of engagement that we've seen at the state level, the state and local level, keeps up, because it's not just about voting. I know that that is a huge thing. We've got them into office, but are we turning up to town halls? Are we turning up, are asking, are we holding accountable these people that we have elected? Are we sending them letters? Are we showing up to budgetary hearings? I myself am going to be on Monday night going to my school to meet with the school board because they are issuing this bond to do all these improvements in the school. And like, we're not sure if it's going to mean we're going to have our taxes raised or what the improvements are going to be. And I'm going to have to show up. I'm going to have to show up because I got to walk the talk, right? I know at the top of my issues, I think. I think.
