The wonder ship, the Millionaire Special. Eleven stories high, three football fields long. Alma had booked the tickets for all the missionaries to sell home on this brand new ship. But Fred was not going to make it. He sent a telegram ahead that said he was delayed and he wouldn't arrive on time to sail on the Titanic. And he told his five missionary friends, go on without me. Go on without me. But Alma turns to the other four missionaries and says, no, we will wait for him. We will go on a later ship. And of course, they're all disappointed, right? They could have gone on this brand new ship. But Alma says, I know you're disappointed, but we can't leave Fred. We have to stick together, right? We can't expect Fred to get all the way across the ocean on his own. So the six missionaries, few days later, all get on the Mauretania and say goodbye to the Liverpool Saints as the ship pulled away from the dock. And then four days later, a member of the crew pulled Alma aside. Did you hear about the Titanic? No, what about it? She sunk two days ago on April 15th. Hit an iceberg on a cold, moonless night. The passengers, only 705 survivors. More than 1500 of the passengers and crew were lost, the majority of which, John, were men. More than 1500 people lost. Alma's head was spinning. He shared the news with the other elders, and they sat in stunned silence. That would have been us, one of the elders said. Alma turns to Fred and says, you saved my life. You saved all of our lives. Fred says, that may be so, but by getting me on this mission, Alma, you saved mine. Is that not a great story, John? Is that not a great story? That's what happens when friends stick together in righteousness. I love it. The God whom we serve will deliver us. Even if he doesn't, we will not serve thy gods nor. Nor worship the golden image thou hast set up. You saved our lives. No, you saved mine. We save each other. There's strength in numbers that way. Yeah. I love it. We take good care of each other. Hank, I've heard you give a talk called I Love My Friends. I think it was.
