Space in the gym. So there I was. And suddenly as I'm lifting weights, I look to my left and I noticed somebody. And this somebody is a very public political figure. And in my opinion, they are somebody who has put a lot of hatred into the world and who has created a lot of division and who honestly has waged a war on people in media by spreading so many lies through what they say. And. And as somebody who works in media and as I have a spouse who works in media, definitely don't appreciate that. So anyway, this person to me is somebody who embodies a lot of hate, a lot of hate, a lot of toxicity, and someone who just doesn't put goodness into the world. So there I am working out in my sanctuary with somebody who I believe has created so much division for our country. And I got so angry. I got so angry. I, like, my whole body felt this effect. And it's so foreign to me because I'm a pretty peaceful guy. But when I tell you that, like, I was almost shaking, I was so upset because it was like seeing this person who I've seen for so many years now on TV or on social media in person being like. Like a human, when to me, they don't act like a human. So I wanted to. In that moment, I literally wanted to walk up to this person and. And honestly say things I'm not going to say right now because it would make me look maybe a little scary. But I was so mad. And I'm. I'm embarrassed to admit that, but I really did want to say something. I really did. And I also like the thought coming across my mind too at one point was I did want to go say, aside from some really ugly, gross things that I don't want to say to anyone because I don't want to put that energy out there. I did want to be like, why are you here? Like, this particular gym I work out in is. Is very gay heavy. Like a lot of gay people work out here. And you're not somebody who embraces the community either. Like, get out of here. Get out. Like, there were so many things going through my mind that was upsetting me. And here's the part I want to talk about. I wasn't necessarily proud of how angry I became because a part of me wanted to embarrass this person publicly. That's not me. I don't want to be that person. Like, that's not me. And it all made me wonder something like, how do we continue to stand up for things we believe in? Or how do we care deeply about our worlds and kindness?
